Microsoft showcases Surface Tablet [Video]
Microsoft on Monday announced the Surface Tablet during the press conference in Los Angeles, California. There were rumors right from the beginning regarding Microsoft releasing its own chain of brand tablet in the store. Microsoft describes Surface as a reimagining of the tablet.
Surface is designed to work as both tablet and PC and comes in two version one running with Windows RT and other running with Windows 8 pro. Tablet is just 9.3mm thin for Windows RT version and 13.5mm for Windows 8 Pro version and both of them have two full sized USB port.
Surface has a 10.6 inch 16:9 widescreen HD display screen. Surface also provides the built in Kickstand on the rear of the tablet which will help tablet hold while users is typing or viewing videos. With Pro version Microsoft also provides the stylus. A Touch Cover for the device protects the screen just like other covers but in case of Surface its connected via magnets on the device’s side.
Surface running Windows RT will be available in 32GB and 64GB sizes, while Surface running Windows 8 Pro will be available in 64GB and 128GB. You can check out the video below.
