Hotmail has been one of the most famous Email portal used but with the launch of Gmail the trend was on the side of Google and very fast it became one of the most used online services on the planet, lagging Hotmail far behind. Today Microsoft gave its own new email service Outlook.com, which is set to run alongside Hotmail, at least for now.

Whenever Microsoft feels that they lagging somewhere in the market, instead of improving the existing they re-invent the whole system. Take in the case of Windows Phone and they are repeating the same thing for Hotmail.

As of today, Outlook.com is wide open to the public, and with unlimited storage and 7GB of SkyDrive space thrown in too, getting yourself a good @outlook.com email address right now may be a better idea than you’d have previously thought.

One of the best part of the Outlook.com is the Metro style interface, which I really love right from the launch of Windows Phone 7. User can sign-up right now as it is available to everyone and service is also free. Have a look and let me know your comments.

For new Sign-up point your browser to Outlook.com and Click on Sign-Up button at the bottom left.
