Microsoft released new changes to the Mail, Calendar and People apps for Windows 8
After meager review to Windows 8, Microsoft is trying hard to catch the pace and are trying to attract lots of developers and also creating, updating apps on Windows Store which still lacks some good quality apps. Today on my Windows RT tablet I just received the new update for Mail, Calendar and People apps.
The new Mail app is now easy to organize and there’s a big emphasis on filters and folders and thus making the process of organizing content little easy and less stressful. Now with the new app user can even create and delete folders right from the Mail app.
Calendar app now offers a new visual enhancement, making easier to read and same goes for People app which now offers better navigation from which now you can easily swift between your profile and the “What’s New” feed.
Updates has already been rolled out. You can update by clicking on the Updates link on the top right corner for Windows Store app and if Windows Store is pinned to Start than you can easy see Updates available. Please let me know if anyone faces the issues after update. You can read the full post from here.

Last year Twitter made a promise that Windows 8 needs a great building and they are planning to build it. Today Twitter fulfilled the promise by releasing the official Twitter app for all Windows 8 and Windows RT users. With Twitter app released for Windows RT too, its a positive boost for Windows RT users since users are expecting some good quality app for Windows RT.

Search Charm : With integrated search charm user can now search tweet, users etc. easily through search charm
-
Share Charm : Similar to Search charm, user can tweet or share from any app any time. Simply swipe from the right and then select Share to share content, photos etc. to Twitter.

Microsoft’s change in strategy for Flash in IE10 : Its now default in Win 8 and WinRT
Unlike Apple which has not allowed Flash to be the part of iOS, earlier Microsoft tried something different. It allowed Flash content to be displayed by those sites listed in the "Flash" whitelist section of IE10′s Compatibility View (CV) list.
But beginning today the Whitelist restriction will be lifted and only those sites listed in the “No Flash” blacklist section of the CV will have their Flash content blocked. Previously this restriction was applied only to the version of IE10 that runs in the Metro Interface. Desktop version of IE10 in Windows 7 and Windows 8 has always been able to run all Flash Content by default.
So what’s the reason for this change in heart? According to Mauceri, it’s because developers across the entire web have been working hard to get their Flash apps shipshape enough for Microsoft’s browser, by improving their content’s performance, touch responsiveness, and power consumption.
Mauceri writes, “Of the thousands of domains tested for Flash compatibility to date, we have found fewer than 4 per cent are still incompatible”.
Also earlier today, Microsoft’s modern.IE web testing suite will add a new tool that will tell Developers whether their sites belong to unlucky 4%, and if still belongs than you can refer this document which explains how to get rid of it.
