VLC player is one of the most used video player in Windows Desktop environment and the reason behind that is that it can play almost all types of video file available. Because of Apple’s strict scrutiny VLC app for iOS was rejected and the only way to install is manually installing .ipa file only on a Jail broken device.
Now VLC beta is available for Android and can be downloaded from the Google Play store, and its very much sure that it will loved by millions who are already using on there PC environment. Just like PC environment VLC for Android can virtually play almost any types of files on the Android device, which will definitely make one of the favorite app to download. You even get the home screen widget with your audio controls, so user don’t even have to launch VLC for pause, play and skip. But since the app is in the beta version User need to use at its own risk.

One of my favorite and the most popular Media player VLC media player is now available for Android, but its in pre-alpha state. CVPCS has built a pre-alpha package which you can test it.
According to CVPCS’s blog, there are currently 2 builds available i.e. NEON and NONEON. To check whether your device supports NEON or the NEON build, you need to use ADB to locate the file called cpuinfo under /proc. If, in this file, you see the word neon under the features then you need to download the NEON build, else you need to download the NOEON build.
